Actor and former Welsh and English international rugby league player Keith Mason, who played 300 games in Rugby Super League and his Partner Riona Kelly have been set a challenge by Para Dance UK the Charity that they both support to show that Everyone can dance !.
Keith who more well known for his Rugby career than has dance moves accepted the challenge set By Para Dance UK to work with his Partner Riona to learn a Latin Para Dance Routine and then perform the Routine at the Para Dance UK National Championship which will be held on 27th October 2018 at the Harrow Arts Centre. During this challenge the couple will look to Vlog their progress and learning as well as talk about their own experiences around learning to dance, as well as raising funds for the Charity who set the challenge, Para Dance UK. The funds raised will be used to support more people to be active and involved in Para Dance.
This challenge comes in the wake of the start of the 2018 Strictly season and Para Dance UK want to show that Para Dance Sport which is Competitive Ballroom, Latin and Freestyle dance can be accessible to all. Patrick McGeough CEO of Para Dance UK said “this is a great challenge and we are looking forward to seeing how Riona and Keith develop and grow as a couple and how they can inspire others to get involved in dance and show it is for all including Rugby Players!”
The couple started their first session on the 7th August 2018 at the Para Dance UK Offices, and will be Vlogging about the experience every 2 weeks starting from Monday 20th August 2018 You will also be able to go to the Para Dance UK page and see old Vlogs and photos.

Riona said “The hard work starts today! Our first dance session, training & preparing for Para Dance UK national dance competition. We’re so looking forward to being a part of such an amazing event. This is the first time that I’ve danced since my stroke & learning how to do it gracefully using my wheelchair is super exciting for me! The best part is that my first dance will be with partner Keith!”
