Para Dance UK, funded by Stevenage Community Trust and supported by Hertfordshire Disability Sports Foundation, ran a successful Dance Extravaganza at the Stevenage Community Arts Centre on the 28th March 2018. The event was designed to promote inclusive dance for people in the community and around Hertfordshire.
Patrick McGeough CEO of Para Dance UK said, “The support given to us from Stevenage Community Trust for this event helped us to engage with a number of individuals and for them to try a great new sport and grow more awareness of the possibility people have to be involved and engaged in Dance as a sport and recreational activity in Hertfordshire, the plan we hope would be to work with Partners and look to get more regular dance activity that is open to all of the community in Hertfordshire ”
The event was attended by over 60 people from across Hertfordshire and showed a mixture of social and formal dances and that no matter what the ability everyone can be active and have fun through dance! The event was also attend by YOPA, the mascot for Hertfordshire Year of Physical Activity, and we look forward to showing more dance activity across Hertfordshire showing you can be involved for fun, creative or competitive opportunities
