We would like to say a massive thank you to all participants and athletes who took part in yesterdays events.

For us this was a great year in that we got to combine all the different parts of the work we do into one day. Holding the 1st Inclusive Dance Festival, in which we had some amazing performances including a group dance from Lonsdale School based in Stevenage from amazing performance from our Affiliated Group In.Da.Co who came from Ferrara, Italy! It was amazing to see such a range of abilities and ages coming together dancing and having fun! We look forward to building on this event next year as a competition.

Our day did not end there, we then had our National Wheelchair Dance Sport Competition in the afternoon, having athletes compete for the first time as well as seeing some of our regular competitors taking part. We also had some amazing group athletes enter our Freestyle section of the competition seeing such a mixture of the community from 8 – 80 (plus) years of age working hard, and showing Everyone Can Dance! The results will be put up on the website shortly.

DanceSport trustee Timothy Palmer said “The groups and athletes were all so kind and supportive of each other, with everyone giving it their best! It was great to see the passion and ability of so many individuals from across the UK and affiliates, Special Thanks goes to our amazing sponsor The Unlimited Company, without their support this event would not of taken place.”
